Meet Kristin Grayce

Kristin Grayce was born in a suburb of Chicago, IL. At age 10, she moved to Tucson, AZ and remained warm and dry for 24 years. Her earliest memories featured a budding interest in medicine, and a knowing that she would one day become a doctor. Even at the tender age of two, she was photographed with a stethoscope placed on the forearm of her grandmother, near the very spot where the Tibetan doctors take pulses. She was originally interested in Western medicine and began preparing for medical school as an undergraduate at the University of Arizona. She earned national certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and often volunteered in the emergency room of Tucson Medical Center. Her partial hearing loss and fascination with deaf culture took her to Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C for one year where she gained proficiency in American Sign Language. Her path became turbulent with a period of physical and emotional traumas culminating in overwhelming chronic pain diagnosed as Fibromyalgia. Her symptoms, including severe muscle pain, trigger points, migraines, stress, sleep disorder, TMJD (temporal mandibular joint disorder), weight gain, digestive challenges, left her weak, imbalanced, exhausted, confused and searching for answers. During this period, she first explored many of the healing modalities she now shares with her patients in an individualized multidimensional approach to wellness.

Kristin Grayce’s Journey

Her experiences working as an EMT and pre-med in the Western medical system led her to realize its inadequacies, especially in its approach to chronic illness, where its goal is to suppress symptoms rather than treat root causes, so Kristin Grayce shifted her focus from Western to Holistic Healthcare and Asian Medicine. She graduated from the fully-accredited Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and then continued on to earn her Masters in Acupuncture. She is nationally board certified through NCCAOM, Arizona and Colorado State licensed. She was honored to return to her alma mater to teach classes and supervise clinical rounds for several years before moving to Flagstaff, Arizona and eventually Boulder, Colorado.

Kristin Grayce has studied Advanced CranioSacral Therapy (CST) extensively, both with Hugh Miln’s school and the Upledger Institute (UI). She has led CST study groups in Tucson, AZ. and has been a teaching assistant for UI since 1998. She is certified at the skills level for CST through UI and is working toward the highest certification, diplomate.

Kristin Grayce has studied homeopathy and biological medicine. She received homeopathic training in Asian medical school and has attended dozens of presentations, seminars, and continuing education workshops by numerous European (ex. Dr. Thomas Rau, Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt) and American doctors of Biological Medicine and Homeopathy through organizations such as Heel Inc., Sanum-Pleomorephic Inc., Seroyal Inc., and many others. A significant portion of her Asian medical training is in Chinese herbology. She has worked in a clinical herbal apothecary in Tucson. During Asian Medical school she also became a Reiki Master. She studied martial arts, Xing Yi and Ba Gua, through the North American Tang Shou Tao Association as well as various forms of Qi Gong.

Kristin Grayce was exposed to the concept of Five Elements and food-as-medicine in Asian Medical School. Prior to this she intuitively knew that proper nutrition was the source of health and well-being, while poor nutrition was a source of illness. She knew whole foods were vital to maintain health and prevent dis-ease, and she began learning this first-hand by negative example through her family-of-origin’s poor dietary habits. In her teens, as a multi-sport athlete, andlater as a competitive bodybuilder, she began learning about good nutrition. She explored vegetarianism in her late teens and early twenties. She spent eight solid years as a vegetarian and two additional years foregoing red meat. Unfortunately it rendered her severely anemic, nutrient deficient, and searching for more answers. She explored blood-type diets, metabolic diets, vegan diets, raw-food diets, macrobiotics, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, corn-free, sugar-free, preservative-free diets, the paleo diet, primal diet, ketogenic diet, gut repair diets, and Chinese medical wisdom regarding the energetics of food, to name a few. Her personal experiences combined with years studying solid scientific research makes her a leader in the field of nutrition and holistic healthcare. She recognizes that food and nutrition can be an extremely charged subject. Whether you are a staunch vegetarian or omnivore, she will educate and guide you to be empowered and informed about what you eat and how to individualize a nutritional plan to meet the biochemical needs of your body.

Today, Kristin Grayce offers her passion for food as medicine. She shares scrumptious foods and desserts, whether raw, cooked or baked, keto, primal/paleo, and always gluten-free. Her specialty and passion is working with people who are ready and willing to learn and grow. She enjoys working with people who haven’t received much benefit from or healed the root of their symptoms, including hidden autoimmune challenges that require deep exploration of buried patterns, hidden food sensitivities, and comprehensive nutritional gut-repair support. She customizes food plans and recipes for individuals and families for balanced nutrition to help them meet the demands of their healing bodies and busy lives.

In her teens, Kristin Grayce began her love affair with dolphins and whales. During the summer of 2006, she was inspired to volunteer as a support therapist for a Dolphin Assisted Therapy course in Freeport, Bahamas, then sponsored by UI, and now by Integrative Intentions in partnership with UI. She is now a lead therapist in this program. In 2010, Kristin brought holistic multi-modality Dolphin Assisted Therapy programs to San Carlos, Mexico, to facilitate deep healing on all levels. She helped special-needs children and their families usingacupuncture, Advanced CranioSacral therapy, homeopathy in addition to the dolphin work. She has created and facilitated International, all-inclusive, transformational dolphin assisted therapy retreats as well. Interspecies communication is a vital part of these programs. She has expanded this work to now include equine assisted therapy programs. As a lead therapist through Integrative Intentions as well as exclusive one on one equine assisted therapy. The reverence, compassion and appreciation she holds for the creatures, environment, and the individual patient process amplifies the potency of these programs.

Functional blood chemistry analysis is a dynamic and powerful science. Kristin Grayce is certified in Functional Medicine through Functional Medicine University and has learned Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis (FBCA) and Functional healthcare from doctors such as Dr. Datis Kharrazian, Dr. Thomas O’Bryan (, Dr. Tom Culleton, Dr. Kari Vernon, and Dr. Debbie Novick( She is skilled at interpreting laboratory results from a functional perspective, helping fine-tune nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle, and embodiment practices, thus averting the manifestation of symptoms and tissue-damaging disease processes, and empowering patients to heal while preventing future suffering.

Before discovering Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis (FBCA), for many years she suffered from several autoimmune challenges that had gone undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, and mistreated by the Western medical world, even at the hands of some very high-profile European MDs and NMDs. Her long frustrating struggle has brought her vast experience, great insight, deep compassion, and a remarkable arsenal of effective treatment tools for autoimmune disorders. FBCA has given her precise, detailed, life-saving information to guide a course of natural treatment for addressing both the root causes and the symptoms of her immune-system imbalances. She truly embodies what she teaches, and is incredibly grateful for those experiences. Grounded in her experiences in clinical practice, she strongly believes that the insight obtained from FCBA far surpasses that of all Western medical interpretations of blood chemistry. It is truly the most essential and accurate tool in the field of preventative medicine.

Bruno Chikly, founder of the Chikly Institute (, and the creator of the Brain curriculum, is an inspiration to Kristin Grayce’s work as well. She is able to precisely, energetically “touch” and work with structures of the brain, allowing for tremendous healing shifts. Her study of neuroanatomy continues to awe and inspire her to learn and share more of this work. The skill she has in Advanced CST better enables her to dance with both brain and cranial structures while understanding, feeling, and facilitating healing within and between both interconnected systems.

Kristin Grayce has been studying and practicing Zen and Tibetan Buddhist meditation since 1997, and has created sacred healing meditations combined with raw, healthy chocolate. She has been studying Ken Wilber’s Integral Theory, weaving her knowledge and experience to offer people an expansive AQAL healing experience and is a certified Integral Coach through Integral Coaching Canda. She continues to practice meditation and is inspired by the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza.

She is the mother of one biological son and three step sons, mostly Waldorf educated. She is the youngest grandmother on the planet, or so she likes to believe, and a proud Air Force mom. She lived and traveled in France, Spain, and England with her son from July 2005 through February 2006 as well as spending time in various parts of Mexico, Canada and Brazil. She finds Nature to be a kind of soul food and thrives on experiencing and learning from her wisdom. She is a Tribal style belly dancer and past member of the beautiful Troupe Shuvani in Flagstaff, AZ. She is a cyclist, gyrotonic student, and an ever evolving Argentine tango dancer, enjoying sharing her passion for this dance with her beloved husband Greg.
